Taking advice
We do not recommend you take advise from your local High Street solicitor. In most cases, that would be a complete waste of money as they lack sufficient expertise and insight. 

You could approach a Party Wall Professional body. However, you are likley to find getting effective (or even consistent) advice can be very difficult as there is little or no training in these complicated technical matters. 

You could approach a specialist solicitor or barrister but their initial consultancy fees can be very high and in some cases, they may have an eye on further fees which could result is skewed advice intended to  lead you toward pursuing costly legal action. Remember lawyers in this area of law do not operate ‘no win, no fee’ services. Solving your problems quickly and cheaply is not in their financial interest.
